What’s In Your Wallet?
We were cruising by Bal Harbor Shops in Miami Florida and stopped a shopper buying a new wallet. We showed him how to organize his wallet the O.C.D. way!
With any organized wallet it is important to keep ONLY what you need in the wallet, not what you think you are going to need.
Items such as reward cards for stores that you frequent and get points with can be taken out of your wallet. With the advance of technology you can simply take a picture of the bar code on the card and at checkout scan the bar code from the picture. Airlines and even movie theatres are using this technology now, so use it for yourself!
Receipts can take up massive amounts of space in your wallet if you let them. With receipts that are from purchases where you will not be returning any items take the receipts out of your wallet the day of purchase and organize receipts on your home desk for reconciliation purposes. Receipts that you will need for returns or insurance purposes simply scan them onto your computer and email them to your policy controller so they can add them to your policy. Any receipt over $500 you can keep in a small Pendaflex so your receipts don’t end up taking up tons of space in your life.
